Cavities
The best way to avoid cavities is by eating right, brushing with fluoridated toothpaste, flossing daily and visiting your dentist every six months.
Children and some adults can benefit by having sealants applied to the teeth.
Cavities are generally cleaned out with a high speed drill or air abrasion tool, and filled with a composite or a ceramic material that mimics the color and texture of the tooth’s original enamel. Metal amalgam filling material are no longer used.
